(Community Matters 39) Mayor: ‘Majority’ of Marshall in Favor of Battery Plant

Marshall, Michigan Mayor Jim Schwartz takes the oath of office on January 3, 2023. Courtesy City of Marshall.

First Aired July 8, 2023

Marshall Mayor Jim Schwartz returns to Community Matters to discuss the planned Ford BlueOval Battery Park Michigan eyed for the Megasite property, saying a “majority is very, very strong in support of this taking place.”

Amid some resistance – including a lawsuit filed by the “Committee for Marshall – Not the Megasite” to stop the appropriate zoning of the property – Schwartz remains supportive and optimistic for the development.
